| Institution Offering Quality Certificate | | | Several Colleges in ontario offer the Quality Certificate Program (QCP) in association with the Toronto Section of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). The QCP is comprised of courses that lead to a Basic and/or Advance Certificate issued by the College. The program is designed to give students a foundation in quality; a theoretical and practical knowledge of quality assurance and to develop a "well rounded quality professional/practitioner”. It covers topics set out in bodies of knowledge for certain certifications but it is NOT intended to prepare students for a certification examination (Refer to Refresher course information under Certification information).
The program starts with the subject “Quality Concepts” and subsequent courses build on the information learned. There are pre-requisites for subsequent courses to support the process so that the learning experience is optimized. With education and work experience criteria met, the quality professional and practitioner has a further option to complete certification examinations offered by ASQ, to receive designation as a “Certified Quality …. “ . There are a number of certifications offered (e.g. Quality Technician, Auditing, Engineering, Management, Reliability and Software) and more information can be obtained by going to www.asq.org. Below is a list of Educational Institutes that offer the Quality Assurance Program. Please contact the institution directly for program specifics. Note: From time to time, the direct links to the program information may change. However, in most cases a search for the word “quality” will yield program results. Every effort will be made to update our links to help serve you better.
